With the label returning after a brief hiatus with a brand new E.P from Parasite. Comprised of producers Twisted and Akano, hailing from Germany, this is their debut release on the imprint and their ‘Vexed’ EP demonstrates why they were welcomed onto its platform. It also highlights the scope of Structured Music and their global influence.

The EP kicks off with ‘Body Farm’, alongside snipping percussion spaced out amongst lofty synths, which build steadily into its first climatic drop. With pads and sweeping layers, you’re taken into the moody depths of ‘Body Farm’, as well as the cut-throat intensity of Parasite’s production. The EP’s title-track follows suit and once again it centres around its expertly layered atmospherics. As each peddled drum beat leads into the next you become aware of the tracks intensity which rolls from segment to segment. It shows for another selection that Parasite have engineered an EP which isn’t for the faint hearted.
Following suit is ‘Formwandler’, setting out on its expedition around swirling bass frequencies and a landscape which is icy to the senses. Parasite do what they do best and that’s create a power which seeps into its every corner. It’s almost overbearing and grabs the attention of its listener without restraint. Then finally, ‘Rupture’ draws the EP to a close, with a ruminating aftertaste which is only emphasised by its finely tuned, weighty kick drums and thumping bassline. Parasite do what they do best with the help of Structured Music and it’s the perfect way for the pair to debut their introductory release on the label, which has given them a pedestal to show their talents to the masses.
